My name is Mayra Carrera (she/her). I am a UX/UI designer, graphic designer, and illustrator. I love programming and doodling. I am passionate about education, technology, and design.
I feel like I’m at my best when I'm able to use design to help underserved communities, and I especially love to work with and for children.
As part of the Seo UX Research Lab at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, I researched campus safety and campus safety apps. Our findings were presented and published at the HCII (Human-Computer Interaction International) 2022 conference.
Currently, I work for ed.X powered by Teach for America. There I help guide the new generations of design thinkers and problem-solvers.
